Thanks to Tatnall’s sports camps, every camper has hands-on opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and healthy living—skills that will serve them well no matter what their path in life. Exploring Archery

John Noel

Join John Noel, Level 3 USA Archery Certified instructor, for this introduction to archery camp. Founded in the National Training System developed by USA Archery, this camp will cover the fundamentals of archery with recurve and compound bows. Your archer will learn range safety, how to shoot recurve and compound bows, and proper shooting techniques. All equipment will be provided.

One Hundred Percent Basketball

One Hundred Percent Athletics' John Noonan

John Noonan’s camp is designed to improve each athlete’s offense and defense fundamentals. The successful formula used by 100% Basketball teaches the game in a fun-filled yet hard working environment. All camp sessions are positive and up-tempo, with the main objective being improved skills and greater confidence for each camper.

Fencing Academy of Philadelphia

Fencing is one of the five original modern Olympic sports, and this camp for boys and girls will challenge campers’ minds as well as their bodies. It incorporates the speed and power of an athlete, the intellect of a chess master, the grace of a dancer and the fine motor skills of a musician. All skill levels are welcome.

University of Maryland's Missy Meharg

Players of all abilities are invited to a 3-day field hockey camp of learning, playing, and studying the game of hockey with and against teammates & players with similar goals. Our excellent coaching staff, under the guidance of Tatnall Alumna and 9-time NCAA Division 1 National Coach of the Year University of Maryland Field Hockey Coach Missy Meharg, will include club, collegiate, and international level coaches. They will teach you the individual skills, team tactics, and simple intricacies in the game of hockey on Tatnall’s state of the art Astroturf field and Bermuda grass field. The camp will conclude with a fun competition against coaches, parents, and alumni. This camp is open to male and female players.

Per NCAA rules and regulations, sports camps or clinics shall be open to any and all entrants  (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).

Instructed by Tatnall coaches Lindsay McConnel and Marcia Conkey, this camp focuses on the fundamentals of the game. This camp is designed to improve each athlete's fundamental ability in offensive and defensive skill sets. The camp's atmosphere is positive and up-tempo, with the main objective being improved skills with greater confidence for each athlete.  Equipment is required.

SHE-LAX is a program designed for girls entering grades 1st-6th to creatively introduce them to the sport of lacrosse. This camp is for the beginner lacrosse player. Each day will incorporate the FUNdamentals of the girls' game such as: cradling, catching, passing, shooting, and scooping up ground balls. Games are designed to incorporate the basic skills the girls will be practicing. In addition, SHE-LAX participants will learn about player positions, rules of the game, and the markings on the field.

Soccer Shots

Soccer Shots is a national leader in youth soccer development.  Our nationally recognized program offers a high energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer.  Our innovative curriculum emphasizes both soccer skills and character development.  Campers will enjoy exclusive Soccer Shots' games and be challenged throughout the week to improve their basic soccer skills.  This summer's camp theme will be "Celebrate the Cup!" as the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team competes in the World Cup this June and July!

Excellence Tennis Academy

Excellence Tennis Academy Director, Simon Peppiatt, will lead this camp alongside experienced and skilled coaches. The camp will be broken into two mini-camps: Beginner/Intermediate Camp and Advanced Training. The beginner and intermediate group will learn stroke techniques, rules and court awareness, while the advanced group will focus on training for tournaments and high school tennis by practicing footwork skills, fitness and mental strategy. Each morning will be filled with drills, followed by lunch, swimming and match play in the afternoon.

Speed, Agility, & Strength

Anthuan Maybank

Conducted by Anthuan Maybank, 1996 Olympic Track and Field gold medalist, this camp is designed to teach all athletes the principles of speed, agility and strength. Sprinting, changing direction at full speed and strength training are all learned skills. Athletes can get faster, and they will do it at this camp.

Instructed by Tatnall Coach John Evans, Hornet Volleyball Camp is a competitive camp for beginner to intermediate volleyball players. Each day will give girl campers opportunities to learn several new skills, including passing, serving, and setting. (Intermediate players will also work on hitting and blocking.) Additionally, daily mini-games will give players the opportunity to combine their skills during game-like situations.
