The Tatnall School is seeking energetic and responsible students to become Counselors In Training (CIT). CIT’s will have the opportunity to shadow Junior and Senior Camp Counselors as well as Camp Leadership throughout the summer. Over the course of the summer, CIT’s will gain the experience needed to ultimately become a camp counselor. 

 

The CIT will assist Camp Staff with a variety of responsibilities. These responsibilities may include transitioning the campers to and from scheduled events, helping to facilitate activities, and creating a fun and safe experience for all campers. 

 

Each CIT will take part in weekly educational experiences and training. Examples of opportunities to be provided include CPR/AED and first aid training, discussions on best practices with children, public speaking skills, and pool safety.

Requirements

  • Ages 14-16

  • Must be available to participate in 5 out of 9 weeks of camp (June 20-August 19)

  • Desire to work with children and learn from peers and Camp Leadership

  • Previous experience supervising children ages 3-10 (babysitting, mother’s helper, team manager etc.)

  • Ability to be encouraging and enthusiastic to create a fun environment

  • Knowledge of various camp activities, songs, and games

Cost

  • $500 

  • This fee covers all costs of activities, training, and special events.
